A combination of the Tenacity of the Millelith and Heart of Depth will boost her Max HP and Hydro Damage, resulting in an overall damage increase. You can use a full Set of Heart of Depth if you wish. Emblem of Severed Fate is a nice alternative that will boost Energy Recharge, as well as Damage based on Energy Recharge. Skills for Yelan Sub DPS Build in Genshin Impact
Yelan’s Normal attack is called Stealthy Bowshot and its effects are:
- Normal Attack: Perform up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.
- Charged Attack: Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG. While aiming, flowing water will accumulate on the arrowhead. A fully charged torrential arrow will deal Hydro DMG.
- Plunging Attack: Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AOE DMG upon impact.
When Yelan stays five seconds out of combat she will enter a Breakthrough state. Breakthrough will cause her next Charged Aimed Shot to have 80% decreased charge time and once charged, she can fire a Breakthrough Barb that deals AOE Hydro damage based on her maximum HP.
Her Elemental Skill, Lingering Lifeline, allows her to move rapidly, entangling and marking opponents along its path. When the move ends, it explodes dealing Hydro damage to the marked opponents based on Yelan’s maximum HP. You can either tap or hold this skill. Tap will move her a certain distance forward. Hold on the other hand will engage in continuous, swift movement and boost her resistance to interruption. You can control this movement and end it with the skill again. Opponents marked with Lifeline grant Yelan a 34% chance to reset her Breakthrough state, when they explode.
Her Elemental Burst, Depth-Clarion Dice, deals Hydro AOE damage and creates an Excuisite Throw. This follows the character around and initiates a coordinated attack under certain circumstances, dealing Hydro AOE damage based on Yelan’s maximum HP. This can happen once every second when the active character uses normal attacks and each time Yelan’s Lifeline explodes and hits opponents.

Yelan‘s Elemental Burst is great to combine with characters that rely on normal attacks, like Yoimiya. She can work well with Pyro or Cryo characters and set off reactions with her skills and Hydro attacks. Diona is a good support character that provides shields and helps with freezing opponents.
