Overview
Wherefore Did the Spiritstone Descend is a World Quest in Genshin Impact that takes place in The Chasm area. This is also the fifth and final part of the “The Chasm Delvers” World Quest Series that you receive automatically once you finish the “Perils in the Dark” Quest.
The quest will guide you deeper underground and complete the main story line for “The Chasm” area. During this quest you can unlock two achievements. The “Perilous Plunge” and the “Exploration Underway“.
Key to a Stony Hall
When you defeat the two Abyss Lectors and collect the Curious Cube left behind, find and talk to Zhiqiong. Along with her, head deeper to the team’s new camp location.
After a dialogue with Zhiqiong and Khedive, a new part of the map will be revealed and the curious cube will turn into a “Key to a Stony Hall“.
Proceed further ahead to find Zhiqiong again and open the gate with the Cube. Once you reach the last underground cavern, you will find a corrupted Large Crystal floating, reveal the last part of the map and unlock the “Perilous Plunge” achievement.
Purify the Crystal
Your goal is to purify the floating crystal by interacting with five mechanisms in the area. You need to recharge the mechanisms with your Lumenstone Adjuvant and stay near them until they are fully recharged.
Use the gadget to clear any Dark Mud nearby the mechanisms and defeat enemies that appear while charging them. Once all mechanisms are charged, strike the crystal and a Boss will appear. Defeat the Mechanical Serpent to complete purifying the Crystal.
Return to the camp to talk to Zhiqiong and then go back to the surface to report to Muning. This completes the quest, the ““The Chasm Delvers” World Quest Series and unlocks the “Exploration Underway” Achievement.
