Thunder Sojourn Event

Thunder Sojourn is the first and main event of Genshin Impact 2.0! The event is utilizing several of the new features you can find in the area of Inazuma and consists of four phases.

Thunder Sojourn begins on July 22nd and will run until August 9th. Its event shop will be available from the beginning of the event until August 16th. In order to participate, players must be Adventure Rank 30 and have completed the quests, Archon Quest “Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves” and the “Ritou Escape Plan” quest in “Chapter II: Act I – The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia“

This event is also a great opportunity to earn the character Beidou for free!

Event Phases

The event is divided in four phases:

  • Bolt Blitz
  • Lightning Round
  • Weaving Lightning
  • Automaton Front

In Bolt Blitz, players must use Electrogranum to move around fast and reach their destination before the time runs out. By interacting with Thunder Sakura Bough Plants you get Electrogranum for a limited time. Electrogranum allows you to move towards Thunder Spheres nearby and travel faster.

Lightning Round is about combat. Your goal is to defeat summoned enemies within the time limit. Thunder Dwelling formations exist in the area. Get close to them while carrying Electrogranum to charge them. Once they are fully charged they will release a Thunder Shock, dealing Electro DMG to everybody in the area.

Weaving Lightning is another combat based phase. During this phase you can use the Nimbus Gem to gain various buffs. To link a Nimbus Gem with you, you must carry Electrogranum.

Finally the fourth phase is the Boss fight of the event. Automaton Front is a special domain where you can fight the Perpetual Mechanical Array Boss.

When the boss splits, Thunder Dwellings and Nimbus Gems appear. Use the previous tactics to defeat the enemy faster.

Event Rewards

There are several rewards you can get by completing the four phases of the event. Primogems, Mora and upgrading materials as usual but also special rewards that you can use in the event shop.

Completing the first three phases, earns you Thunder Pellets. Completing the fourth phase, earns you Thunder Crystals. Use those to get Upgrading materials, mora and more from the event’s shop.

Finally, you can use 1000 Thunder Pellets and 1000 Thunder Crystals at the Oceanlord’s Oath to get Beidou for free!
