Shadow of the Ancients Event

Shadow of the Ancients is an exploration based Event in Genshin Impact 2.2! The Event begins on November 5th and will run until November 15th. To participate, players will need to be Adventure Rank 30 or above and have completed the “A Flower Blooms in Prison” Archon Quest.

The Event is split into 3 Phases that will unlock gradually as the event progresses. To start the event, talk to Katheryne of the Adventurers’ Guild.

Phase 1

The goal of this phase is to conduct surveys at specific locations. To achieve this you will need the “Ayesha’s Chaos Prospector” Gadget. Complete the prerequisite quest “Journey to Tsurumi” to obtain it.

With the gadget equipped, visit each survey site and use it to find General Purpose Directional Conduction Components. You can have up to 3 Prospectors placed at any time. The Prospectors will survey the area and notify you of the results.

Phase 2

Visit the Sampling Points to start a challenge. Your goal now is to charge all Pursina’s Spikes with Electro attacks while defending them from incoming enemies.

Prevent the Spikes from being destroyed and keep them charged to succeed. When you complete all Data Sampling objectives you can also unlock a Special Sampling Points challenge for bonus rewards.

Final Phase

“Live Testing” is the Final Phase of the event. Go to the designated area to charge the Pursina’s Spikes there. The charging will attract the Anomalous Model Ruin Grader. Your goal during this phase is to charge all spikes within the time limit to cut the Grader off from its power source.

The Grader will attack the spikes, trying to destroy them. During its attacks, its Head and Legs cores will be exposed. Destroy them to stop it from moving. Its abilities will be enhanced when two or more spikes are activated.

Cut its power source to stop it from repairing itself.

Event End & Rewards

After the event gameplay period ends, players that have completed the “Defeat the Anomalous Model Ruin Grader” quest in “Live Testing” can accept the “Autonomous Mechanical Energy Source: Conclusion” Quest to receive the appropriate rewards.

This event can reward you with Primogems, Mora and Upgrading Materials.
