Genshin Impact Hangout Events

Hangout Events is a brand new system that is coming to Genshin Impact with the 1.4 update. Hangout Events are basically a dating sim inside Genshin Impact, that gives players the opportunity to chat with characters and build up their relationship with them.

The system will make its debut with Genshin Impact 1.4, Invitation of Windblume, but will continue evolving even after. With a recent article, Mihoyo revealed some new info about the system and how players can make it work.

How it Works

Players will have the option to spend some time and chat with specific characters, in their story quest. After unlocking this brand new feature, you can unlock Story quests with story keys, in the new Hangout Events Tab. Two keys are required to unlock a Story Quest. You can earn Story Keys by completing Daily Quests. More specifically you get one story key for every eight daily quests you complete.

Other requirements to unlock a Story Quest include completing specific quests and reaching a certain Adventure Rank.

These story quests will have different dialogue options and of course endings! Choosing the right thing to say will advance your relationship with the character of your choice. However if you pick the wrong option, you might fail the story quest entirely. Thankfully it will be possible to replay any part of a Hangout Event without using another key.

The various available endings for every story quest will reward you with generous rewards, including primogems, upgrading materials, friendship and more. Along with the rewards you can also earn Memories, which are basically special photos with a specific character.

With the release of Genshin Impact 1.4 the “Hangout Events: Series I” will become available to players. This series includes Barbara, Bennett, Noelle and Chongyun. To unlock the series and interact with the characters you must have reached Adventure Rank 26 and have completed the Archon Quest “Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom.
