Genshin Impact Dragonspine Spear
The Dragonspine Spear is a Weapon you can unlock in the Dragonspine area. To get this weapon you must first complete the Quest Festering Fang. This quest is not available to you from the moment you travel to the area of Dragonspine however. To trigger the quest, some luck is required. To be more precise, you must first find and collect a special item, called Strange Tooth, while exploring the Wyrmrest Valley. Only then you can receive the quest and start working on getting the Dragonspine Spear.
Festering Fang Quest
Once you collect the Strange Tooth, you will receive the Festering Fang quest, which will ask you to go back to the adventurer’s camp and talk to Iris. Iris will then send you to talk with Orban, the camp’s Weaponsmith, which is also the NPC that will craft you the weapon.
The quest is pretty straightforward and easy to complete. You only have to do a bit of searching and farming. To craft the weapon you will have to collect:
- 3 more Strange Tooth (their location is given by the quest)
- 50 Starsilver Ore (found everywhere around Dragonspine)
- 1 Northlander Polearm Prototype (you can get this as a drop from Weekly Bosses, Spiral Abyss or buy from the Souvenir Shop)
Once you have all three items, Orban will request one more item, a Vitalized Dragontooth. You can get this special item by interacting with the Core of Wyrmrest(Dragon Heart) found in the Wyrmrest Valley hidden in a cave.
While trying to Vitalize your Tooth, the Fatui will attack and you will have to defeat them in order to proceed. After the fight is over, interact with the core again to get your Vitalized Dragontooth and return to Orban to craft you the weapon. You will then get the Dragonspine Spear but also the forging blueprint for this weapon that will teach you how to craft it.
Dragonspine Spear Stats in Genshin Impact
The Dragonspine Spear is a quite potent Polearm with a strong effect that offers a 15% Physical Damage bonus and 41 Base Attack. Its special Passive is called Frost Burial and when hitting an opponent with Normal and Charged Attacks has a 60% chance of forming and dropping an Everfrost Icicle above them, dealing 80% AOE ATK damage. Opponents affected by Cryo are dealt 200% ATK damage. Can only occur once every 10 seconds.
