Overview
Genshin Impact 2.5 brings a highly anticipated character to the game and reruns of other beloved characters. New Weapons, Enemies and Events will also make their debut to Genshin Impact with the new version.
The Release Date of Genshin Impact 2.5 version is on February 16th, 2022. These are the main new features in the 2.5 Update!
Characters
Yae Miko is finally coming to the game! A 5-Star, Electro character, wielding a Catalyst that many players have been waiting for! Yae Miko will be available in her own banner when the Update goes live.
In the second phase of the update, both the Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi will have a rerun, with their own banners. This is the best opportunity to get one of these two beloved characters!
Weapons
Two new Catalysts will become available in Genshin Impact 2.5!
The Kagura’s Verity, 5-Star Catalyst you can get from wishes and the 4-Star Oathsworn Eye Catalyst you can earn from the Three Realms Gateway Offering Event.
Enemies
New enemies will also make their appearance with the new version. A new Boss type of enemy, resembling the Raiden Shogun and a new type of normal enemies, the Shadow Husks.
Shadow Husks are divided in three different categories and have their own unique gameplay. They are divided in:
- Standard Bearers
- Line Breakers
- Defenders
Events
Players can participate in five new and returning Events in Genshin Impact 2.5! These are:
- Three Realms Gateway Offering
- Divine Ingenuity
- Of Drink A-Dreaming
- Hyakunin Ikki
- Overflowing Mastery
Three Realms Gateway Offering is an exploration event based on Enkanomiya that will reward you with the 4-Star Oathsworn Eye Catalyst.
In Divine Ingenuity, you can design your own Domain and have other players trying to complete it. Of Drink A-Dreaming will allow you to become a bartender and serve drinks!

The Chasm Preview
During the Genshin Impact 2.5 Special Program, a new area was announced for the Next version, Genshin Impact 2.6!
The Chasm is a massive new area that is coming to the game with the upcoming 2.6 Update! More info on the new area will release at a later date.
