Genshin Impact 1.3 Release Date

Genshin Impact has revealed a brand new trailer about their upcoming 1.3 Update(All that Glitters), showcasing a few of the new features coming to the game. The Update will be released on February 3rd 2021 and will introduce new characters, Events, enemies and more to Teyvat.

The new update is focusing on Liyue with most of the new features having a direct connection to this area of the world, aesthetically but also culturally.

Genshin Impact 1.3 Release Events

The new update will introduce a number of new events that will reward players with Primogems, Mora, upgrading materials and more. Some of those events are:

Lantern Rite Event

The highlight of the 1.3 update, seems to be the Lantern Rite Event, an Event that will transform the city of Liyue with several flying Lanterns, giving a more festive tone to the area. The festival itself will work as an event and players can assist in the preparation prior to the big finale.

The event will be divided into three stages, each with a series of requests from Liyue citizens, players have to fulfill in order to progress the Festive Fever level and unlock more quests and stories.

Theater Mechanicus Event

Theater Mechanicus is an one of a kind event that we have never seen before in Genshin Impact! A tower defense strategy game basically for solo or co-op gameplay. Defending against waves of enemies in this special mini-game will reward you with Peace Talismans that you can exchange at the Xiao Market for a variety of rewards.

Five Flushes of Fortune

Five Flashes of Fortune is a photography event that will ask you to take pictures of specific targets and exchange them for various rewards as well.

Vishaps and Where to find them

This is the combat event of the 1.3 update, available to players at Adventure Rank 20 and above. You can accept investigative expeditions from Katheryne of the Adventurer’s Guild in order to hunt down Geovishaps around Liyue. Geovishaps is a new type of formidable enemy that is getting introduced with the 1.3 update.

Ley Line Overflow

A special event that will offer increased rewards from Ley Lines and assist players with leveling up their characters.

But that is not all! A couple more events will give players the opportunity to receive up to 10 Intertwined Fates for free but also a 4-Star Liyue character of their choice, also for free!! It will be possible to pick one from Xiangling, Xinyan, Beidou, Ningguang, Xinqiu and Chongyun. Like this you can get a good character you have not been lucky enough to pool yet or even advance the constellation of one of the characters you already own.

New Characters

Like with every other new update, 1.3 will introduce a couple new character to Genshin Impact as well. The first of these two is going to be Xiao, a 5-Star, Wind element, Polearm user. As for the second new character, that is coming at a later date, it seems to be Hu Tao. A Pyro element, Polearm user.

1.3 Changes

This new update will also include the already announced changes to Zhongli and the Geo element in general.
