Genshin Impact 1.2 Weapons

Genshin Impact version 1.2 brings several new features to the game including a brand new zone, the Frostbearing Tree and its special rewards, two new characters, a domain but also a few interesting new Weapons.

Players can obtain these weapons when the 1.2 update goes live through various ways and some of those can assist while exploring Dragonspine. These are the new Weapons of the Genshin Impact 1.2 Version and how you can acquire them.

Summit Shaper

Rarity: 5-Star

Type: Sword

This Sword increases wielder’s Shield Strength by 20%(when the wielder is on the field, any currently active shield absorbs an additional amount of damage). Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% for 8 seconds. Maximum 5 Stacks. Can only occur once every 3 seconds. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

You can only acquire Summit Shaper through the Wish System. While the event wish “Epitome Invocation” is available this Sword will get a huge drop-rate boost. The “Epitome Invocation” Event Wish will begin after the 1.2 Version goes live and continue until 01/12/2021.

During this event the Weapons Favonius Sword, Favonius Greatsword, Favonius Lance, Sacrificial Fragments and The Stringless will also get a boost to their drop-rate.

Festering Desire

Rarity: 4-Star

Type: Sword

This Sword increases Elemental Skill damage by 16% and Elemental Skill Crit Rate by 6%. To obtain the Festering Desire Sword you must complete the story quest “Princeps Cretaceus Chapter: Act I” and the Event Quest “Festering Desire”.

This Weapon is special, since it can provide its wielder with special buffs during the “The Chalk Prince and the Dragon” event.

More specifically the character that equips this weapon during the event:

  • Gains bonus damage dealt via Scarlet Quartzes and deals additional critical damage to enemies in the Dragonspine area
  • Will accumulate Sheer Cold at a slower rate and gain bonus crit rate against enemies in the Dragonspine area
  • Will deal more damage to enemies in the Dragonspine area

This sword seems to be designed to allow players to deal more efficiently with the new area status effect, Sheer Cold and explore the area easier.
