Overview
The Collection of Dragons and Snakes is a World Quest in Enkanomiya. The quest asks you to find five missing Books and return them to Ema, the Last Librarian of Enkanomiya.
To find the books and complete the quest successfully, you will have to complete three more World Quests in the area and discover secrets. By completing the quest you will also unlock the “If Tokoyo Ookami Knew of This…” Achievement, along with a few more achievements when completing the other World Quests.
Start Quest
To begin the Quest you must first locate Ema, the Last Librarian. Ema can be found in the hidden Library in The Narrows, right below the Teleport Waypoint. Since Ema is an afterimage she will only appear in Evernight mode. So you must first advance the main story line of Enkanomiya and reach Dainichi Mikoshi, at the center of the map. To enter Enkanomiya you must first complete the “The Moon-Bathed Deep” Quest in Watatsumi Island and accept the “The Still Water’s Flow” Quest from Tsuyuko.
Reaching Dainichi Mikoshi and unlocking the ability to manually change the day/night cycle is vital for this quest but also many more in the area. Switching to Evernight(Night) will reveal the Shades of Tokoyo, which are basically ghosts that offer you quests.
Use the Triangular mechanism to open the path to the library, switch to Evernight and talk to Ema.
She will ask you to retrieve five missing Books. When you talk to her she can offer a few hints about the books.
Books
The missing Books are:
- Before Sun and Moon
- Hydrological Studies in Byakuyakoku
- The Serpent and Drakes of Tokoyokoku
- In the Light, Beneath the Shadow
- Bathysmal Vishap Experimental Records
To obtain three of those books, you need to complete other World Quests in Enkanomiya. This is where you can find all five books.
Before Sun and Moon
You can find this Book by completing the “Antigonus” World Quest. The quest begins in a collapsed room at the South Western part of Dainichi Mikoshi. Jump and glide to the room, talk to the two afterimages there and go South of The Serpent’s Heart to find Antei.

Hydrological Studies in Byakuyakoku
Complete the Date’s Challenge World Quest to get this book. You can find Date under the Labyrinth puzzle on Evernight Temple.
Complete his two challenges to obtain the book.
The Serpent and Drakes of Tokoyokoku
The easiest to find book since you can buy it from the Yae Publishing House in Inazuma City.
In the Light, Beneath the Shadow
To get this one first head to the secret room in Dainichi Mikoshi. Blow up the barrels and defeat the Ruin Guard.
Get inside the room and use the first mechanism while in Evernight. Switch to Whitenight, and use the second mechanism. The path will open. Switch back to Evernight, loot the chest, light the two torches and activate the puzzle above them.
Go to The Serpent’s Heart and pass through the doors in the right order(as seen in the picture above) to solve the puzzle. Loot the chest that will spawn to get the book.
Bathysmal Vishap Experimental Records
To obtain this book you need to complete the Tricolor File World Quest. Find your way to the Vishap Research Lab “hidden” part of the map and talk to Michiya to begin the quest.
Search the Vishaps’ cells to find the book.
Complete Quest
When you have all five books return them to Ema. She will ask you to put them back to their shelves. Once you do that a door to a secret room in the library will open.
Get inside and search the room. When you enter the new area, you complete the quest and unlock the “If Tokoyo Ookami Knew of This…” Achievement. There are also a Seelie and a Luxurious Chest nearby. Loot the chest and guide the Seelie back to where Ema is. You can now loot another Exquisite chest.
